The station features a responsive 7-inch TFT LCD touch screen with an intuitive user interface for simple operation. It supports live paging, manual emergency broadcasting, zone and group paging, audio monitoring, full-duplex intercommunication, scheduled broadcasts, and pre-recorded message playback. Users can also broadcast audio files from a USB drive, record announcements in advance, and monitor system faults in real time.

The X-NPMS-R includes a built-in monitoring loudspeaker, supports either a gooseneck microphone or PTT microphone, and provides configurable function keys for quick access to frequently used paging and audio tasks. Even if one Digital Control System (DCS) becomes unavailable, the paging station can continue communicating with other X-NPMS stations through the network, ensuring dependable operation for critical applications.
