The HEX-24 is a zone expansion device controlled by the HCU-2000 controller, designed to extend the INTEVIO system by 24 speaker zones and 24 dry contact inputs. It supports single-channel audio operation and allows connection of up to six main power amplifiers and one backup amplifier, offering a flexible one-for-all amplifier backup configuration.

Each zone supports a maximum loudspeaker load of 500W, making the HEX-24 suitable for large-scale audio distribution. The unit includes automatic fault diagnosis, continuously monitoring main power, backup power, CPU status, amplifiers, speaker lines, grounding, contact inputs, and network communication. All fault conditions are clearly displayed via front-panel LED indicators.

In the event of controller CPU failure, the HEX-24 can operate in standalone mode, delivering audio from an external line input directly to local zones. This ensures uninterrupted announcements and increased safety during emergencies.
