SK-NIC Network Interface Card

The SK-NIC Network Interface Card is designed to seamlessly connect Farenhyt Series fire alarm control panels (FACPs) to a broadband network. It enables reliable communication between remote panels, allowing Styles 4 or 7 network configurations using standard unshielded twisted-pair copper wiring or optional fiber-optic modules. This network capability enhances centralized monitoring, system expansion, and flexible installation in large-scale fire alarm systems.

Where It Can Be Used?

The SK-NIC is ideal for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities that require networked fire alarm systems. It is commonly installed in large commercial complexes, hospitals and healthcare facilities, educational institutions and universities, industrial plants and manufacturing units, as well as high-rise buildings with distributed fire alarm panels.

The card is mounted within standard Farenhyt Series cabinets, except for IFP-75 models, and can also be installed externally using the SK-NIC-KIT accessory. Optional fiber-optic modules make it suitable for installations requiring longer-distance connections or higher resistance to interference, ensuring reliable performance in demanding environments.

The SK-NIC acts as a network interface component for Farenhyt Series FACPs, enabling efficient communication over copper wire or fiber-optic networks. With a 625K baud ARCNET repeater and compatibility with both Styles 4 and 7 network topologies, the SK-NIC ensures synchronized alarm notification across multiple panels. Its flexible design supports both internal cabinet mounting and external installation via the SK-NIC-KIT, with optional SK-FML and SK-FSL fiber modules for multi-mode or single-mode fiber connections.
