The Edwards APS6A Auxiliary Power Supply is a UL 864, 10th Edition listed, 24 Vdc filtered-regulated power unit designed to deliver reliable backup power for life safety and emergency communication systems. It expands system capacity by providing additional notification appliance circuits (NACs) or auxiliary 24 Vdc outputs for devices that require steady and supervised power.

The APS6A delivers 6.5 amps of regulated power across four Class B (or two Class A) NACs, each rated up to 3A. It supports battery backup up to 24Ah and features onboard charging circuitry. The steel enclosure accommodates batteries and expansion modules such as audio amplifiers, Ethernet/VoIP communication modules, or releasing devices. Diagnostic LEDs provide real-time status for AC power, NACs, battery condition, and ground faults, ensuring easy monitoring and servicing.
